Beach near Hilton Hotel Hua Hin

Image
As an alternative to the main beach in Hua Hin  we can recommend the Hua Hin beach near the Hilton Hotel. It's similarly beautiful but also features Rocks in the water which are great for Photography and also quite a lot of palm tress giving plenty of shadow. A variety of activities is popular: The is horseriding on the beach offered right at the entrance Swimming is possible but a bit more care needs to be taken to keep distance from the rocks which might be covered in shells that could easily hurt you Sunchairs are for rent, restaurants are nearby and massages on the beach are also available Due to the rocks this area is not suitable for watersports like Jetski, Kitesurfing or Windsurfing - but you can walk down the beach 1-2 kilometers to the right to get there. Current notice: The google maps entry suggest the beach is closed permanently but this information is incorrect. As of Sep. 2021 the beach is open and freely accessible. Location of Hua Hin Beach near Hilton Hotel If yo

Hua Hin Nightmarket - shopping and sightseeing in one

Image
Hua Hin night market is a must-see for shopping and sightseeing in one. Both local foreigners and thai's enjoy the market as well as foreign visitors to HuaHin. It's central location makes it easily accessible. The atmosphere is not as chic as other nightmarkets but still a unique, busy atmosphere that has some subtle nightlife around it: You can shop for souveniers, clothing, handicraft etc. There's plenty of street food at affordable prices Enjoy the nightlife in one of the many restaurants nearby If youre into seafood this area is especially suitable because of it's location close to the Chatchai seafood market - so splurge on that lobster, squid or fresh prawn p.s.: This footage is taken in September 2021 so still during Covid restriction times but as you can see the market is lively. Expect it to be bigger and more crowded once tourism normalizes in Thailand. Location of Hua Hin night market Right in the town center, the nightmarket is close to the Train station

Chatchai seafood market in the center of Hua Hin

Image
Very close to the Hua Hin Railway station is the Chatchai seafood market. It is not a tourist attraction in a traditional sense but rather an authentic local market where residents go to buy groceries and restaurants buy everything they need for the day. Due to this proximity of fresh product, especially seafood, there are many restaurants and also a night market nearby. What to do in Hua Hin at the seafood market? Just talk a walk around and if you can cook at your accommodation in Hua Hin, be sure to buy some of the freshest seafood Hua Hin has to offer. I would plan to spend about 30 minutes at the market or longer if you walk around the wider area. The best time to visit is from early morning to about lunchtime. Location of the best seafood market in town This authentic local market is right here and easily accessible from many directions - just follow the stream of people going in: Just pick and choose what you like - language won't be a barrier and prices are fair.

What to do entirely free in Hua Hin: Watch the sunset at the beach

Image
As long as you can get up early enough, depending on season and distance to the beach around 4:30-5:00, then i absolutely recommend watching the sunset at the beach: Many locations are suitable to watch the sunset We recommended our favourite spot because there is plenty of space to sit on the stone cay rather than on the sand That makes the location also suitable to take great pictures, have a picnic without much preparation or enjoy evening drinks at sundown But note that due to it's location on the Gulf of Thailand you will only see the sunset in the morning, not the sundown in the evening. But still evening atmosphere is also nice If you're into Photography or videoshooting this place is a dream and entirely free Our recommendation where to watch the sunset at Hua Hin beach Just off Hua Hin's main road is Soi 5: Please note that while google maps indicates there would be a cocktail bar at this place, currently there is not establishment at all. So be sure to grab your

Nightlife - Hua Hin Redlight district: Walking street of Soi Bintabaht and Soi 80

Image
We will honestly show both the good and the bad and won't judge - you can see for yourself: At the Hua Hin redlight districts, everybody is welcome: Single males definately dominate in the walking streets of Hua Hin But from couples of all ages to families with kids you can find all kinds of people taking a peek what it's all about If you don't want to go that's fine but if you do can just enjoy the spectacle of a night out We will present two choices to go depending on your taste and the experience you desire. Soi Bintabaht - the main redlight district of Hua Hin This is the main entertainment area and nice to walk along the main street or through the smaller alleys that host a variety of bars both with and without bargirls as well as family friendly restaurants. Please note at the time of publishing this blogpost and the video, almost everything is closed due to Covid / lack of tourist - this area is particularly affected but as you can see on the other posts created

Wat Khao Noi - Hua Hin Temple with great scenic views

Image
This is one of our favourite Temples in Hua Hin: Wat Khao Noi for many reasons: It's rather small and really authentic - not many tourists around Climbing the stairs up to the temple puts you into the right mood to calm down at the top (but for those who can't make it up there is also a road around that leads to the top) The architecture of the temple and the buddha statue that can be seen from far are impressive At the top you can experience great scenic views of Hua Hin How to get to Wat Khao Noi The address of the temple is just a bit away from the coast, fairly close to Huahin's town center. Use the attached map to easily navigate there. And don't worry you will be able to the Temple's buddha statue from far awat to lead the way. Local customs and what to do For 20 Baht you can get a candle or incent sticks to light for good luck. Kneeing down in front of buddha and making a prayer is supposed to bring good luck. To avoid: Don't wear shoes once you reached

Short Daytrip from Hua Hin to Chaam: Malai Farm (Petting zoo)

Image
This is a recommendation for everybody who loves animals - most kids will love this petting zoo: It's just about 30 minutes trip from Hua Hin and you can spend about an hour at Malai Farm. It's not a traditional zoo but rather like a livestock farm. So you can get up close with the animals, except the crocodiles ;-) Location of Malai Farm petting zoo in Hua Hin / Chaam As you can see the petting zoo is just a short distance from Central Hua Hin and the route just follows along the main road so it's easy to reach. Entrance Fee At the time of recording there was no entrance fee so it's free but you can buy different food at stations throughout the zoo to feed and pet the animals. Must-see pictures Typical Huahin-style sign - as you can see this is more of a local spot than tourist destination - but don't worry everybody is super friendly and it is easy to get around. The character of the livestock land is to provide hands-on experience with regular livestock rather

Hua Hin main Beach

Image
Just a short walk down from Market Village, Hua Hin beach offers what most people love about Thailand's beaches: Crystal clear water White sand Palm Trees And as of September 2021 nearly no other people How to get there This is the main beach of Hua Hin - later videos will include further spots but here we have chosen a central beach access just down from the Market Village Shopping Center. What else than staring at the water can you do here? There is horse riding, water sports like kitesurfing, paddle board, windsurfing, kayaking, banana boat rides, jet skis but all activities usually spread out on the beach so nobody really bothers each other. More impressions from HuaHin beach View of Hua Hin beach towards Hilton Hotel Thailands typical fishing boat moored at Hua Hin beach View towards Khao Takiab

Hua Hin Railway/Train Station

Image
Hua hin Train station is one of the most beautful and oldest railway stations in Thailand. Due to it's architecture it is a popular tourist spot to take pictures including the typical red paint and signage which was become so representative for Hua Hin. It currently is under construction to improve Hua Hin's tourism infrastructure - but we confirmed in our video that the historic buildings are still there despite the construction work on new buildings that will accomodate the highspeed rail connection to Bangkok. How to get there It's really straight forward in the center of city - you can't miss it if you follow this map marker to the location of the station. Costs Unless you want to take a train ride, visiting HuaHin railway station is free and you take pictures. Photography from the station with construction in background Typical Hua Hin sign next to the historic waiting hall. Mordern buildings near the tracks. Parking and arriving at the spot is easy. The historic

Khao Hin Lek Fai viewpoint

Image
Khao Hin Lek Fai is a viewpoint, offering panoramic view of the beach, the town of Hua Hin and surrounding landscape and also with a bit of luck, wild monkeys: How to get there You can simply use google maps embedded here: From central Hua Hin it's just about 3 km distance: When to go Day time is great for the view and cooling breeze at the higher elevation, sundown also gives a great atmosphere with many locals enjoying the views and using the public space to play soccer or talk a walk.
