Beach near Hilton Hotel Hua Hin

 As an alternative to the main beach in Hua Hin we can recommend the Hua Hin beach near the Hilton Hotel. It's similarly beautiful but also features Rocks in the water which are great for Photography and also quite a lot of palm tress giving plenty of shadow. A variety of activities is popular:

• The is horseriding on the beach offered right at the entrance
• Swimming is possible but a bit more care needs to be taken to keep distance from the rocks which might be covered in shells that could easily hurt you
• Sunchairs are for rent, restaurants are nearby and massages on the beach are also available
• Due to the rocks this area is not suitable for watersports like Jetski, Kitesurfing or Windsurfing - but you can walk down the beach 1-2 kilometers to the right to get there.

Current notice: The google maps entry suggest the beach is closed permanently but this information is incorrect. As of Sep. 2021 the beach is open and freely accessible.

If you arrive by car / motorbike you can park at the entrance and walk down to the beach through a passage that has some vendors of souveniers and random products like clothing, beach towels etc.; The beach is proximity to the Soi Bintabaht walking street (entertainment & redlight district of) so visits can be combined if you don't stay in the area anyway.

What to bringt to the beach

Most important is suncreen to protect your skin. There are rare but painful accidents involving jelly-fish but they won't be particularly dangerous and can be treatet easily - but if you want to swim for extended periods of time / distance, you might want to consider wearing any kind of pants/shirt/swimsuit that that cover your skin - any cloth will be enough to protect you from getting stung.

Sunchairs at fair prices are available which is recommended. If you prefer to choose a quiet spot yourself that is also possible but avoid sitting directly in the sand (i.e. take a beach towel / big blanket) as there can be sandflies, causing severe rash in certain individuals. Without any medical background knowledge, my personal observation is that this rash occurs more frequently in people with lighter skin tones.

Although sunchairs are available, the area they can cover is limited to plenty of space remains available.

The rocks, sand and palm tree are great scenery to relax in or follow your photography hobby.
